An MCP gateway is one endpoint in front of every Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool server. It aggregates the tool catalog, holds the downstream credentials, authorizes every tool call per agent and writes one audit line per call, so security can answer which agent called which tool with whose permissions. NubiCode runs MCP gateways on Kubernetes for autonomous AI agents.
